Rebecca Jowers es traductora jurídica y profesora de inglés jurídico. Reside en Madrid donde durante veinte años impartió la asignatura de Inglés Jurídico en el Máster en Asesoría Jurídica de Empresas en la Universidad Carlos III. Entre 2002 y 2012 también enseñó inglés jurídico en el Máster en el Ejercicio de la Abogacía de esa misma universidad, habiendo anteriormente trabajado durante cinco años como traductora jurídica en el despacho de propiedad intelectual e industrial Elzaburu. Es doctora (Ph.D.) en Filología Hispánica por la Universidad del Estado de Michigan, máster (M.A.) por la Universidad de Nueva York y licenciada (B.A.) por la Universidad de Stetson (DeLand, Florida).

Rebecca Jowers is a legal translator based in Madrid where for twenty years she was professor of Legal English in the Master?s Program in Corporate Counsel (Máster en Asesoría Jurídica de Empresas) at the Universidad Carlos III. From 2001-2012 she likewise taught Legal English in the Carlos III Master?s Program in Legal Practice (Máster en el Ejercicio de la Abogacía), having previously worked five years as an in-house legal translator in the Elzaburu intellectual property law firm. Majoring in Spanish Language and Literature, she received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University, M.A. from New York University and B.A. from Stetson University (DeLand, Florida).
